The small print
Editorial policy
Where the facts on shadazzle.org come from, what we will not claim about our cleaners, and how to report a mistake.
The people who run the Shadazzle catalog write every page on shadazzle.org. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.
Facts about the products
Ingredients, tub and bottle sizes, scents, the surfaces a product is meant for and the ones it is not, and the yield of the laundry sachet are taken from each product's own data. A fact printed for one product is never carried over to another: the dish soap bar does not borrow the paste's ingredient list, and the wood restorer does not borrow its sponge.
The photographs show our own products. Pictures with slogans, badges or arrows printed over them stay off the site, and so do pictures of other brands. The film on the home page is cut from our own footage.
What we do not claim
We do not call a product non-toxic, safe for children, hypoallergenic or kind to the planet, and we do not print awards or certification marks on this site. "Natural" on a label means the ingredient list printed beside it, and we print that list. Where a page talks about chemicals, ventilation or keeping cleaners away from children, it names the public source, and the source is linked from our guides.
Corrections
If a figure, a price or a sentence here is wrong, write to tubshine@shadazzle.org. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
